As of March 2023, companies that are not compliant with the requirements of Law 14.457/22 will be subject to applicable sanctions.
Law 14.457/22 established the Emprega + Mulheres Program, which aims to promote the entry and retention of women in the labor market. The law introduces seven main measures to be adopted, among which we highlight the adoption of measures for the prevention and combating of sexual harassment and other forms of violence in the workplace.
Companies must have codes of conduct aimed at preventing sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as structured procedures for receiving complaints. It is important to note that simply implementing a reporting channel does not meet all the requirements of the law, since the rules and procedures must be disseminated, supported by senior management, and incorporated into the company's ongoing training activities.
If you would like to know whether your company needs to comply, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
